Feeling good about chemistry!
The world of chemistry can take you where ever you want to go. As an organic chemist, you involve yourself with the molecules of life. Analytical chemistry is used to identify and quantify. Physical chemists use the fundamental principles that govern how chemical systems; down to the atoms, behave. Inorganic chemists have an area of discipline that typically does not deal with carbon. Biochemistry lays the ground work for the chemical principles that are essential in understanding biological systems.
Pictured to the left is the chemical structure of Dopamine; a neurotransmitter (chemical messenger) that affects many different processes of the brain. From your emotions, to body movement, to addiction, and even our conscious understanding to perceive pleasure & pain; this chemical messenger is a big player in the game of life.
